Stathis Sofos

Stathis Sofos is a Principal at the European Stability Mechanism (ESM), where they focused on lending and economic risk analysis in 2017. Prior to ESM, they held the position of Senior Loan Officer and gained significant experience as a Project Manager in Structured Finance at both Groupe Crédit Agricole and Emporiki Bank. Stathis began their career as a Reserve Second Lieutenant in the Greek Army, serving from 1999 to 2001. Their educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from Panteion University, a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Nottingham, and executive training from INSEAD and Wharton Executive Education.
