Jorge Badillo

Jorge Badillo currently serves as the Internal Audit Manager (Chief Audit Executive - CAE) at Esmax, starting in June 2025, and contributes to the strategic leadership of The Institute of Internal Auditors as an International Committee Member and Board Member since July 2008. Prior to this, Jorge was the Internal Audit Manager at Lundin Mining Corporation from July 2023 to June 2025, where oversight included testing internal controls across multiple international mine sites. Previous roles include Internal Audit Manager at SCM Minera Lumina Copper Chile and Sierra Gorda SCM, with responsibilities focused on enhancing corporate governance and risk management. Jorge has also held leadership positions with the Latin American Federation of Internal Auditors and has extensive experience as a Financial Controller for the International Organization for Migration. Educational qualifications include an MBA with a specialization in Finance, various diplomas in corporate compliance and management, and a degree in Public Accounting.
