Edwin Mitchell

Edwin Mitchell is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in environmental management, sustainability, and operational leadership within the mining sector. Currently serving as an Advisor at ESNAD since February 2025, Edwin plays a key role in advancing the mining industry in Saudi Arabia under the framework of Saudi Vision 2030. Previously, as Corporate Manager for Environment and Permitting at Sierra Metals, important responsibilities included steering environmental studies and securing operational permits. Edwin's earlier experience includes significant leadership roles at Cerro de Pasco Resources and Southern Peaks Mining Perú, where strategic HSEC initiatives were successfully implemented. With a strong educational background, including a Chief Sustainability Officer certification from MIT and a Master’s in Public Administration, Edwin remains a pivotal figure in integrating sustainability within the mining and environmental fields.
