Bruce Mah is a software engineer at ESnet. Bruce has previously worked as a principal engineer at nCircle Network Security and as a distinguished engineer at Packet Design.

At nCircle, Bruce worked on a variety of projects, including the implementation of a vulnerability scan scheduler, design of enhancements to a network topology risk analysis feature, evolving hardware and operating system support for the IP360 series of appliances, and future product architecture. Bruce also served as interim SCM and build engineer, automating the product build process and training permanent build engineers.

At Packet Design, Bruce worked on a variety of areas of the Route and Traffic Explorer products, from feature development to system support to management of development infrastructure. Bruce used their prior experience with this product to help design and implement new functionality, assist members of the support and sales organizations as needed, and guide newer members of the engineering organization. Bruce was also responsible for hardware and OS integration and qualification of new platforms.

Bruce has been an advocate for IPv6 and has implemented it on both the internal corporate network at Packet Design and on the ESnet network.

They work with Samir Faci - Software Engineer, Sowmya Balasubramanian - Software Engineer, and James Kafader - Software Engineer. Bruce Mah reports to Ed Balas, Group Lead.
