Marlene Boere

Marlene Boere is a skilled coordinator of events at Gemeente Groningen, where they oversee the permitting team and advise on event safety. Previously, Marlene gained extensive experience in the event production sector, serving roles such as safety and mobility coordinator at Tomcat Productions and project specialist for safety and mobility at MOJO concerts. With a strong educational background, including degrees in Archaeology and LVO Dutch from Windesheim and Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, Marlene has also played key roles in various festivals and committees focused on safety, diversity, and sustainability in the events industry. Currently, Marlene is a founding partner and chair of GROENN, a platform dedicated to the sustainability of events in Northern Netherlands.
