Ankit Gupta

Ankit Gupta has over a decade of work experience in various engineering roles. Ankit is currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Esper, a leading DevOps company for devices. In this role, Ankit is responsible for overseeing engineering efforts and product enhancements.

Prior to their current position, Ankit worked as the Head of Solutions Engineering at Esper, where they led global pre/post-sales and customer engineering efforts. Ankit collaborated with the engineering team to enhance the product and shape its roadmap features.

Ankit also has experience as a Partner Engineering Manager at Esper, where they provided tech pre-sales and post-sales customer support. Ankit was responsible for customer success management, competitor analysis, and engaging with customers via multiple channels.

Before joining Esper, Ankit worked as a Principal Engineer at ColorTokens, Inc., where they contributed to the development of a solution for policy-driven security and micro-segmentation. Ankit was part of the platform team and focused on enabling segmentation in Linux and Windows environments.

Ankit's previous experience includes working at Qualcomm as a Senior Engineer, where they developed Android/Linux kernel WiFi device drivers. Ankit also worked at Cyanogen as a Senior Software Engineer, involved in Android platform development and productization of AOSP codebases.

Additionally, Ankit worked at Qualcomm Innovation Center Inc. as a Software Engineer, where they contributed to the development of Linux BSP and device drivers for Qualcomm Snapdragon devices. Ankit also had a software engineer internship at Qualcomm, where they developed a command line tool for testing I2C Bus Specification.

Ankit began their career as a Software Developer at Ciena India Pvt Ltd, where they worked on SONET/OTN protocols in the protection subsystem team.

Throughout their career, Ankit has demonstrated expertise in areas such as engineering leadership, customer support, product development, and device driver development.

Ankit Gupta obtained a B.Tech degree in Information Technology from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Later, they pursued a Master of Computer Science degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University, attending from 2012 to 2013. Additionally, Ankit has obtained several certifications, including "A Design Thinking Approach to Putting the Customer First," "Customer Service Leadership," "Inclusive Leadership," "Becoming a Product Manager," "Cert Prep: PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)," "Managing High Potentials," and "AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate 2019." These certifications were obtained from LinkedIn and Udemy, with the latest one acquired in June 2021.
