Vishal Modi

Vishal Modi has over 15 years of diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Vishal is currently the Director of Business Development & Strategic Partnerships at Esper, a position they have held since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Lenovo for 5 years, starting in 2016. During their time at Lenovo, they held multiple roles, including Senior Manager, Strategy and Business Operations, Go-To-Market Product Manager for Tablet & Smart Devices, and Global Product Operations Manager for Chrome OS.

Before joining Lenovo, Vishal worked at Motorola for 10 years, starting in 2006. At Motorola, they held roles such as Senior Product Operations Manager, Regional Program Manager, and Technical Account Manager. Additionally, they served as a Product Manager and Application Developer on the Motorola Asian Business Council.

Vishal's earlier work experience includes positions at International Truck and Engine Corporation, Global Systems Inc., Prism Information Technology Ltd, and ORG-MARG Pvt. Ltd. (now Nielsen), where they completed a summer internship.

Throughout their career, Vishal has demonstrated skills in business development, strategy, operations, product management, and customer relations. Vishal has a strong ability to convert complex problems into structured solutions and has a passion for data-driven decision making and process excellence.

Vishal Modi has a diverse education history. Vishal pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Strategy and Marketing from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they participated in the Graduate Students at Large Program (Business) at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business from 2011 to 2012. Additionally, they hold a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science (Information Systems) from the Illinois Institute of Technology, which they obtained between 2004 and 2006. Vishal completed their undergraduate studies at Savitribai Phule Pune University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering from 1999 to 2003. Lastly, they attended Navarachana High School from 1987 to 1997.

In terms of certifications, Vishal obtained the "Introduction to 5G" certification from LinkedIn in October 2019, and they acquired the "Professional Project Management (PMP)" certification from the Project Management Institute in May 2009.
