Eric Van Praag

Eric Van Praag is a Senior Project Manager at Esri, where they have over 30 years of experience supporting GIS for development projects both in the US and internationally. They currently coordinate the GeoSUR Program, a Latin American Spatial Data Infrastructure Initiative, which has established the first Latin American Network of geospatial data providers, winning four international awards in the past four years. Previously, Eric held various roles, including GeoSUR Program Coordinator at CAF and Associate Expert at the United Nations Environment Programme, contributing significantly to geospatial information networks in Latin America and the Caribbean. They hold a degree in Computer Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar and a Master of Science in Environmental Resources from The University of Salford.
