John Lyell has extensive experience in financial analysis and accounting, currently serving as a Senior Business/Financial Analyst and Cloud Czar at Esri since July 1990. Responsibilities include cloud utilization and spend analytics, contract negotiation for Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, as well as performing product profitability analysis and corporate performance management. Previous roles at Esri included Manager of Operational Cost Accounting and Manager of Cost Accounting, showcasing expertise in IaaS/PaaS/SaaS cost analysis and federal contract compliance. In addition, John held leadership positions with the City of Riverside, providing budget advisory services, and operated New Frontiers Entertainment in the music industry. Earlier experience includes forensic auditing with DCAA. John holds an MBA from the University of Redlands and a BA in Accounting from Cal State Fullerton.
