Michelle Thomas is a communication lead and senior content strategist on Esri's StoryMaps team, where they manage the ArcGIS StoryMaps magazine, annual competition, and various digital storytelling campaigns. Prior to joining Esri in 2019, Michelle held roles as a strategic communications coordinator at the U.S. Department of Agriculture and worked in public affairs and as a management analyst at the Bureau of Land Management. They earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Baylor University in 1993, and have utilized Esri's storytelling tools to connect people and places through engaging narratives.
