Nathan Shephard is a distinguished Principal Product Engineer Lead at Esri and the author of the book “Mapping with Altitude,” focusing on 3D cartography. With extensive experience in the computer software industry, Nathan has a strong background in UI/UX design, project management, ArcGIS, 3D visualization, spatial analysis, and databases. Nathan currently leads software product design within the ArcGIS Pro development team and has served in various roles at Esri since 1999. In addition to engineering, Nathan is also the inventor and CEO of PIXZEL Puzzles and creates cartoons that reflect on nature and fate. Nathan holds a BSc in Computer Science from Curtin University.
