Richard Budden has extensive experience in geospatial and information management, currently serving as the Deputy General Manager for Esri in the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia since December 2014. Prior roles include General Manager for Europe and Business Development Manager at Atkins from November 2002 to November 2014, where Richard focused on smart cities, local government, and transportation. Additionally, Richard held the position of Head of Information Management at the Qatar Central Planning Office from November 2011 to August 2013, overseeing a team of over 20 professionals. Richard's earlier experience includes roles as Senior GIS Analyst for Crossrail and Senior Consultant at Atkins. Richard earned a BSc (Hons) in Human and Physical Geography from the University of Reading between 1998 and 2001.
