Tim Murphy is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in contextual intelligence and analytics. Currently serving as the Director of Contextual Intelligence at Esri since December 2017, Tim leads initiatives in link analysis, graph databases, and unstructured analytics, and is the creator and co-product owner of ArcGIS Knowledge. Tim's academic involvement as an adjunct faculty member at San Diego State University spans from 2005 to the present, contributing insights gained during the development of the SDSU VizCenter. Previous roles include senior leadership positions at Semantic Research, Inc., where Tim managed customer programs and drove the creation of key analytics products, and served as CEO of Autonomechs, overseeing diverse contracts for commercial and military sectors. Tim holds a Master’s Degree in Homeland Security from San Diego State University, earned between 2004 and 2006.
