Will Mertens

Will Mertens is a Technical Consultant at Esri, having progressed from the role of Associate Technical Consultant since March 2022. Prior to Esri, Will worked as a GIS Contractor for Special Projects at the Summit Historical Society, where a project involved mapping the original homesteads of Summit County, Colorado, employing Python scripting to convert Land Descriptions into GIS features. Will also served as a Campaign Manager for McCluskie for Colorado and as Assistant to the Executive Director at the Family Resource Center of Sterling, CO, focusing on community services and administrative support. Education includes a Master of Science in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from the University of Redlands and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Beloit College. Additional educational experiences include attendance at the School for International Training and Northeastern Junior College.
