Astrid Palmieri

Astrid Palmieri is an accomplished sustainability expert with extensive experience in both corporate and board roles. Currently serving as Chief Sustainability Officer at Esselunga since February 2024, Palmieri has also held key positions such as Regional Lead Sustainability EMEA and Senior Sustainability Manager at BASF from September 2005 to February 2024. Additional board memberships include the Stanford Club of Italy and Federchimica AISPEC Gruppo Chimica da Biomassa. Past roles encompass project management at Sorgenia and environmental management at EPRI, among others. Astrid Palmieri's educational background includes an MBA from the Yale School of Management, a Master's in Environmental Studies from Yale University, and a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from Stanford University, complemented by executive education at Harvard Business School.
