Jorge Monteiro

Jorge Monteiro serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director at ESSENCE since June 2020. Prior to this, Jorge held the position of IT Executive Advisor at Raízen from August 2017 to January 2020, where responsibilities included implementing IT service management best practices based on COBIT. Jorge's extensive experience also includes serving as IT Operations Manager at CPFL Energia from October 2009 to February 2017, overseeing a team of 200 and managing significant IT service operations. Earlier in the career, Jorge worked as Client Services Manager at CSC Computer Sciences in the Middle East, and held various roles at Capgemini, Accenture, and NEC Brasil, primarily focusing on IT service management, systems analysis, and project management. Jorge's educational background encompasses a degree in Information Technology from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie and an administration degree from Centro Universitário Braz Cubas, complemented by additional training at Yale School of Management.
