David Shepherd

David Shepherd serves as the Head of Network Investment and Maintenance at Essential Energy since December 2018, where responsibilities include optimizing network investments and managing the network portfolio to support the energy transition. Previously, David held various leadership roles at Endeavour Energy, including Strategic Innovation Manager and Distribution Manager, overseeing significant initiatives such as a new web-based scheduling tool and managing operations in the Hills region. Earlier experience at Ausgrid involved coordinating high-risk incident management and innovative demand management projects. David also founded PayPronto, where an iOS application was developed to enhance ordering processes in hospitality. David holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from UNSW.
