Eric Copp has over 15 years of experience in software development. Eric began their career in 2005 as an Intern at the Idaho Department of Transportation. In 2006, they became a Java Engineer at Personal Shopper. From 2007 to 2009, they were a Grad Student at Boise State University, taking classes such as Parallel Computing, Distributed Systems, Data Structures and Algorithms, Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Operating Systems, and Quantitative Computer Architecture. During this time, they completed a Grad project that dealt with finding sequences of DNA that are non-existent in nature. In 2009, they became a Java Developer at TEKsystems. From 2010 to 2013, they were a Sr. Software Engineer at Public Engines, working on an Agile team to create a crime prediction tool that enabled police departments to prevent crime using a Ruby on Rails, MySQL back end and a HTML5/Angularjs front end. Eric also designed and developed admin tools to manage large amounts of crimes using HTML5, javascript (Angularjs and Jquery) and CSS (Sassy and Bourbon). From 2013 to 2014, they were a Sr. Software Developer at ADT. From 2014 to 2020, they were a Director of Software Development and then a Senior Developer at PlanSource. Currently, they are the Vice President of Software Development at Essential Hub.

Eric Copp earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Boise State University in 2006, followed by a Master of Science in Computer Science from the same university in 2012.
