Ben Ash

Ben Ash has held various roles in the finance and accounting industry since 2003. Ben began their career at KPMG as an Assistant Manager, where they were responsible for leading teams and assuming responsibility for fieldwork through to reporting. Ben also actively participated in graduate recruitment campaigns and mentored new graduates. In 2006, they joined Smiths Medical as an Assistant Financial Controller. In 2007, they moved to QinetiQ as a Group Financial Accountant & Investor Relations Analyst. From 2010 to 2014, they worked at Shire, first as a Finance Business Partner for the APAC region, then as a Finance Business Partner for UK, Ireland, Nordics & Baltics, and finally as the Head of Finance for CEE & MEA. In this role, they were responsible for all finance deliverables across a fast growing and diverse geography and provided financial analysis for multiple business lines for existing and new product launches. Ben also led a finance taskforce to improve processes and methodology across international finance. From 2014 to 2020, Ben Ash worked at PTC Therapeutics, Inc. as the Vice President of Finance, Executive Director of International Finance, and Finance Director of EMEA. In 2020, they joined Essential Pharma as the Chief Financial Officer.

Ben Ash attended Sir Thomas Rich's School from 1992 to 1999. Ben then went on to pursue a BSc in Management Sciences at the University of Southampton from 2000 to 2003.
