We look after documents, maps, images, and sound and video recordings covering 1,000 years of history.

# Conference Centre #

The ERO Conference Centre, in the centre of Chelmsford, offers an excellent range of rooms.

Whether you need a meeting room for confidential off-site interviews, training / workshops, or are planning a major conference in a fully functional lecture theatre seating 130, we can accommodate you. 

We are also licensed for weddings.


# Digitisation Services # 

We offer secure, state-of-the-art facilities for digitising archives, books, artefacts, works of art and audio-visual records.

We have years of experience in digitising our own collections, and can use this expertise to produce high quality, professional digital images of your collections.

Whether you are a heritage organisation requiring digitisation of a whole collection, or a business with documents & photographs covering your company history, we offer a range of digitisation services to suit your needs.

Sound and Video - if you have precious material stored on vinyl records, open reel tapes, or cassette / video tapes or other outdated media, we can digitise this material for future preservation.

We have been caring for our own collections since 1938. Today we have a large Conservation Studio with specialist equipment that means we can tackle nearly every kind of archive conservation challenge.
