Michael Magro is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, currently serving as the Labour Ward Lead at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. They are also the Vice Chairman of the Baby Lifeline Multi-Professional Advisory Panel and co-lead of the Governance chapter for the Ockenden Maternity Review. Since 2022, Michael has worked as an Ambassador for Essity, focusing on reducing Surgical Site Infections. In addition, they have been a Darzi Fellow at the NHS Litigation Authority since 2016, where they are involved in quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing maternity services and patient safety. Michael earned their M.B.B.S. at Queen Mary University of London, where they graduated with distinction in Clinical Science and Clinical Practice.
