Sumith Perera

Sumith Perera is an experienced project engineer currently employed at Essity since April 2024. Previously, Sumith held the positions of Mechanical Maintenance Manager and Reliability Engineer at Siam City Cement from April 2018 to March 2024, where responsibilities included supervising reliability sections, performing vibration and thermographic analyses, and conducting non-destructive testing. Prior experience includes serving as Maintenance Planning Engineer and Mechanical Maintenance Engineer at Holcim from January 2012 to March 2018, focusing on maintenance planning, budget tracking, and root cause analysis. Earlier roles include Design Engineer at 3S Fabrications, Engineering Trainee at Flintec, and Engineering Trainee at Sri Lanka Airforce Base. Sumith holds a Master’s degree in Purchasing, Logistics & Supply Chain Management from the University of Bedfordshire and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Ruhuna.
