Mark Witjens

Mark Witjens has extensive work experience in the maritime industry. Mark is currently serving as the CEO of EST-Floattech | Energy Storage Solutions. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Projects at Damen Cruise RoPax Offshore from October 2019 until September 2021. From June 2017 to September 2019, they held the position of Director at Damen Shiprepair & Conversion, and from May 2014 to May 2017, they served as the Managing Director at the same company. Before joining Damen Shiprepair & Conversion, Mark held several roles at Hertel, including Management Board Member from January 2009 to April 2014 and Managing Director from September 2001 to April 2014. Mark started their career at Heerema Marine Contractors as a Tender Manager in 1989.

Mark Witjens completed their education at Delft University of Technology from 1982 to 1987. Mark obtained a Master of Science degree in Civiele techniek (Civil engineering) during this time.
