Chris Weicht has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Chris currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at EstateSpace since August 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as the Senior Systems Architect and Head of Engineering at EstateSpace from June 2021 to August 2022. Before joining EstateSpace, Chris worked as a Software Architect from May 2018 to June 2021. During this time, they were responsible for analyzing requirements, providing architectural design options, and working on a multi-tenant micro-services platform as a Full Stack Developer.
Before EstateSpace, Chris held the position of Director of Engineering and CTO at CoshX from July 2017 to May 2018, where they provided senior-level engineering and oversight for multiple projects, as well as identified areas for staff and business growth.
Additionally, as an independent contractor at OpenSource Connections from April 2015 to January 2017, Chris served as the User Interface Team Lead and Developer. In this role, they supported the US Patent & Trade Office (US PTO) Exploring Search Technologies (EST) effort, primarily working on frontend migration and building processes for the frontend application.
Prior to that, Chris worked at Systems Made Simple, Inc. from March 2013 to March 2015 as the Deputy Chief Engineer. Chris provided engineering support to the DHMS Defense Medical Information Exchange (DMIX) Program Office, focusing on their Electronic Health Record (EHR) effort alongside Clinical Terminology Services (CTS) as the Product Owner.
Chris also has experience as a Systems Engineer in the field of Biometrics and Counter-IED at Intelligent Software Solutions from November 2010 to February 2013. Chris supported the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) by providing systems engineering support and developing system designs.
At Pragmatics, Inc., Chris held the position of Senior Computer Systems Analyst from October 2007 to November 2010. In this role, they provided Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to the National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC) for their Biometrics and Counter-IED (C-IED) initiatives, including schedule analysis, requirements verification, engineering consultation, system test validation, and certification and accreditation (C&A) controls coordination.
Throughout their career, Chris has demonstrated proficiency in various roles, including Chief Technology Officer, Senior Systems Architect, Software Architect, Director of Engineering/CTO, User Interface Team Lead/Developer, and Deputy Chief Engineer.
Chris Weicht earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. From 1996 to 1998, they attended Fayetteville State University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science. Chris then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from American Sentinel College between 2003 and 2008.
