Justin Ong

Justin Ong has a diverse work experience in various design roles. Justin started their career as a Freelance Designer in 2008, working on various projects until 2011. From 2010 to 2014, Justin worked as a Desktop Publisher at the Parliament of Victoria. During this time, they provided design services for print, digital, motion, and events, with a focus on accessibility.

In 2019, Justin took on multiple UX/UI Designer roles. Justin worked at MessageXchange from October 2019 to January 2021, where they focused on user experience and interface design. Justin then joined Mclowd, a technology platform and services marketplace, as a Product Designer from September 2019 to June 2021. In this role, they contributed to developing a self-managed super fund management system with a focus on democratization and efficiency.

Additionally, Justin worked as a UX/UI Designer for client projects through Academy Xi. Justin collaborated with a multi-disciplinary team at WEX in June 2019 to improve the WEX Motorpass fuel card website. Justin also worked with startup Kuber Village in June 2019 to design their babysitting and community-building app. In May 2019, Justin led a project to enhance the Mingle Seasoning website and drive sales. Through these projects, they conducted research, created personas, and analyzed competitors to inform design decisions.

Most recently, Justin joined EstimateOne in January 2021 as a Product Designer.

Justin Ong's education history includes several programs and certifications. In 2019, they attended Academy Xi and completed the UX Transform Full-Time Immersive, where they studied user experience design and human-centred design. In 2018, Justin studied at the University of South Australia and received a Professional Certificate in Web Accessibility Compliance (WCAG 2.1). Their earlier education includes a Bachelor of Digital Media from the College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales, which they obtained between 2002 and 2005. In 2008, they enrolled in Qantm College and completed a Bachelor of Interactive Entertainment (Animation) between 2008 and 2010.
