Estrutura was founded in 2009 by creators Cátia Pinheiro and José Nunes and has developed the creation and production of theatre shows and transdisciplinary projects, as well as programming and training activities. Estrutura's work is based on creating projects that dialogue with the reality of contemporary thought (in its artistic, philosophical, social and political aspects), promoting artistic experimentation and a collaborative logic, where other artists are regularly invited to share in the creation of the projects, as was the case with Rogério Nuno Costa, Pedro Zegre Penim, António MV or André Godinho. Since its foundation, it has presented its shows in collaboration with institutions such as Teatro Municipal do Porto, Teatro Nacional Dona Maria II, São Luiz Teatro Municipal, Centro Cultural Vila Flor, Festival Temps d'Images Lisboa, among others. Estrutura is a resident company at Teatro Campo Alegre, as part of the Campo Aberto programme of Teatro Municipal do Porto.
