Paul Karrer

Paul Karrer is a building code and standard policy advocate with nearly 15 years of experience in environmental and sustainability non-profit sectors, specializing in U.S. building energy code policy at various governmental levels. They have held roles in academia, congressional politics, and non-profit organizations, including serving as a Senior Manager for Building Codes Policy at the American Institute of Architects. Paul was an elected Commissioner for the Mt. Pleasant Advisory Neighborhood Commission in Washington, D.C., from January 2017 to January 2019. They earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Studies from the University of Kansas and a Master's of Public Policy in Environmental Policy from American University.
