John Gomez has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles in the telecommunications and marketing industry. John started their career at Americatel Colombia S.A. as a Data Products Specialist, where they were responsible for designing and launching various data products and achieving commercial agreements with other companies. John then moved on to DATACOL S.A. Canon as a Product & Marketing Manager, where they successfully restructured the marketing and customer service departments, resulting in increased sales. John later joined ETB as a Corporate Market Sub director, where they designed marketing strategies for the telecommunications long distance business and launched the mass Internet service. Following this, they worked at AT&T as a Business Director, where they developed and implemented marketing strategies for multiple countries and coordinated the regional marketing relationship with partners. John then joined Movistar (Telefónica Hispam) as a Communication & Brand Manager, leading successful advertising campaigns and brand renewal initiatives. John later joined Telefónica as a Media Manager Latam, where they managed media investment optimization for multiple countries and led the digital marketing transformation of the company. Most recently, they have been working at ETB as a CMO and VP Home & SOHO, with a focus on marketing and strategic roles. In addition to their corporate work, John has also been working as a Professor at Universidad de La Salle, where they share their industry expertise with students. Overall, John has demonstrated a strong track record of success and expertise in telecommunications, marketing, and leadership roles throughout their career.

John Gomez attended the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana from 1987 to 1993, where they earned a degree in Electronic Engineering. John then went on to pursue a specialization in Marketing at the Universidad Externado de Colombia from 1995 to 1996. In 2001, John attended the Universidad de Los Andes for a short period of time to study Finance for non-financial professionals. Later in 2011, they attended the INALDE Business School to complete a program in Executive Development.
