Eternite Materials is a materials science innovator, founded to commercialize a reinvented Ancient Roman cement for the 2st century developed at The University of Texas at Arlington. Our material, Aeternum™, is extremely salt-resistant, sulfate-resistant, and self-healing. Structural concrete or well cement that uses Aeternum gets stronger upon exposure to water, especially salt water. Aeternum is a drop-in replacement for the Ordinary Portland Cement widely used today. Aeternum provides the strength needed for modern projects, and excels in hostile environments including oil & gas wells and pads, marine structures such as breakwaters and seawalls, and highway paving. Moreover, Aeternum is made using commonly available materials and at a process temperature of only 750 C (compared to 1450 C for OPC), greatly reducing the energy required and resulting in a 50 - 60% reduction in CO2 emissions.
