Bert Schoofs

Bert Schoofs has extensive experience in IT management and leadership roles, spanning over 20 years. Bert has worked for various companies, including Etex, Cargill, and Philip Morris International. In their most recent role as Global Head of IT Applications at Etex, Schoofs transformed the global applications department, introduced professional product and project management capabilities, and enabled IT-OT convergence. Prior to this, they held several positions at Cargill, where they led and developed IT organizations, introduced managed service partnerships, and managed global ERP service operations. Schoofs also gained experience at Philip Morris International, where they managed the implementation of shared services organizations and served as an IT project manager. Throughout their career, Schoofs has demonstrated a strong focus on organizational transformation, strategic planning, and successful delivery of IT solutions.

Bert Schoofs completed their education in a chronological manner, starting from their time at the UHasselt where they obtained a Master's degree in Applied Economics and Business Engineering between 1991 and 1996. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in IT Management at KU Leuven from 1996 to 1997. In 2017, they attended Vlerick Business School to study Digital Leadership.
