Jorge Monteiro

Jorge Monteiro has a diverse work experience in the field of space and technology. Jorge is currently the Co-Founder & CEO of ETHIACK, a cybersecurity SaaS platform that combines automated and human hacking for security testing. Before that, they worked at SPACEWAY as a Business Developer, where they provided IoT LoRa solutions and developed specialized training for space exploration. Jorge also has experience as a Research Fellow at C-MAST, focusing on systems engineering and small satellites. Jorge co-founded and served as the COO of PENTHACK, and was the National Point of Contact for Space in Portugal (NPoC) at the Space Generation Advisory Council. Additionally, they worked as an International Business Architect at AgniKul Cosmos, an R&D Engineer at Instituto de Telecomunicações, and a Research Intern at CEiiA. Jorge's educational background includes a Master's degree in systems engineering and a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.

Jorge Monteiro has a diverse education history with a focus on aerospace engineering and space studies. In 2012, they completed a Master of Science degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering at Universidade da Beira Interior. Jorge also briefly studied Aerospace Engineering at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in 2016.

To further their knowledge and skills in the field, Jorge participated in various short-term programs and workshops. In 2015, they attended the Leeds International Summer School at the University of Leeds, specializing in Robotics and Smartphone Applications. In 2017, they participated in the Space Station Design Workshop at the University of Stuttgart, focusing on Space Engineering. Jorge also completed the International Space Summer School program at Samara State Aerospace University in 2019, deepening their understanding of Space Engineering.

Jorge earned the ISO 27001 Foundation - Information Security Certification from TÜV SÜD in 2020. Jorge also obtained the Open Water Diver certification from PADI in 2019.
