Jiuyu Zhang

Jiuyu Zhang is a Master of Engineering student in Computer Science at UCL, with a strong background in mentorship, tutoring, and software engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Programming Tutor at UCL Computer Science and President of the UCL Technology Society, Jiuyu has developed and executed mentorship programs to assist peers in their academic journeys. Previous experience includes a Platform Engineer Intern role at Beacon Platform, where Jiuyu significantly improved developer efficiency and client service performance. Participation in a competitive software engineering program at Jane Street highlighted Jiuyu's programming skills, while research roles at EthicsGrade and UCL provided expertise in sustainable AI and computational social science. Additionally, Jiuyu has held positions as a Resident Advisor and Transition Mentor, emphasizing community engagement and student support.
