Keir Horton has a solid background in various roles related to product ownership, experience design, implementation, and user experience. Starting in 2001, they worked as a New Media Designer at Cellhire PLC, where they designed, built, and marketed websites for the company. Keir also managed relationships with external clients for white-labeled rental programs. In 2004, Keir joined Westfield Health Scheme as the Head of Web, overseeing the development, marketing, and delivery of online objectives for the organization. From 2011 to 2022, they held multiple positions at Irwin Mitchell, including Head of Implementation and User Experience, where they were responsible for implementing the strategic vision of the Head of eBusiness and overseeing the operation of the Implementation and Experience team. Most recently, Keir joined ethiXbase in 2022 as a Senior Product Owner.
Keir Horton attended The Grammar School at Leeds from 1992 to 1994, where they pursued A-level studies. Keir then enrolled at the University of Lincoln from 1994 to 1997, completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business Studies.
In terms of additional certifications, Keir obtained several certifications from The Interaction Design Foundation. In 2019, they completed the certification in Emotional Design - How to Make Products People Will Love. In 2020, they obtained certifications in Design Thinking, UX Management: Strategy and Tactics, How to Create Intuitive Products by Imitating Physicality, and Service Design: How to design integrated service experiences. In 2021, they completed the certification in Get Your Product Used: Adoption and Appropriation. In 2022, they obtained the certification in Journey Mapping, and most recently, in 2023, they completed the User Research - Methods and Best Practice certification.
