David Decker

David Decker is an experienced data science professional currently serving as the Director of Data Science at Ethos since October 2021. Previously, David was an Instructional Associate at Georgia Institute of Technology from August 2021 to August 2023, where assistance was provided for graduate-level computer science courses. David spent nearly a decade at NRG Energy, where roles included Director of Data Science and Analytics, focusing on statistical analysis and predictive modeling for retail electricity brands. Earlier experience includes various positions at Hewlett-Packard, where financial modeling and planning were conducted, as well as software development roles at SRA International, notable for projects supporting the Army and DARPA. David holds a BS in Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University, an MBA from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, a Master's degree in Statistics from Texas A&M University, and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology.
