Dawit Mesfin

Dawit Mesfin has over two decades of experience in IT infrastructure management, currently serving as the Manager of the System Administration Division at EthSwitch since September 2017. In this role, Dawit is responsible for planning and overseeing the operations of computing and storage systems that support the national payment switching system and coordinates directly with the IT infrastructure director. Previous positions include Senior Unix System Administrator at EthSwitch, where responsibilities involved managing Solaris systems and collaborating with member banks, and Senior System Administrator Consultant at the Central Statistics Agency, focusing on IT infrastructure upgrades for the electronic census system. Dawit also spent six years at the Ethiopia Commodity Exchange as a System and SAN Storage Administrator, where skills in managing virtualized infrastructure and SAN storage were honed. With a Master of Science in Information Technology from Sikkim Manipal University and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Addis Ababa University, Dawit possesses a robust educational background to complement extensive practical experience in IT.
