Mircea Matei

Mircea Matei is a seasoned procurement professional with extensive experience in managing supply chain operations across various industries. Currently serving as Senior Procurement Manager at EtihadWE since February 2025, Mircea leads the Procurement BPO Function and manages a substantial budget while overseeing a team of 47 professionals. Previously held the position of Procurement Manager at WFC Holding, where responsibilities included supplier relationship management and asset management. Mircea also served as Head of Procurement for UAE and Oman at KPMG Lower Gulf, with a notable achievement of successfully implementing Oracle Fusion SCM ERP. Earlier roles include Head of Operations at Moritz Eis, where operational processes were developed, and Head of Procurement at DB Schenker, which involved significant savings on procurement costs. Mircea holds a Bachelor’s degree in IT Economics from Academia de Studii Economice din București and a bilingual Bachelor's degree from I.L. Caragiale National College Bucharest.
