Joe Barsic

Joe Barsic has over 27 years of work experience in finance and accounting. Joe is currently the Head of Finance at etika, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, they were the Finance Manager at etika from August 2021 to January 2023.

Before joining etika, Joe worked at AMP as an Expense Manager/Finance Business Partner from May 2016 to June 2021. Joe also had a Finance Business Partner role at TAL Life on a 6-month contract from October 2015 to March 2016.

Earlier in their career, Joe held various managerial roles at Zurich Financial Services Australia, including Expense Manager from 2012 to 2015, and Manager Planning and Performance Management from 2004 to 2012.

Joe's extensive experience also includes managerial positions at Commonwealth Bank, where they served as Manager Cost and Project Accounting from 2002 to 2004, Manager Management Accounting and Reporting from 2000 to 2002, Manager Budgeting and Forecasting from 1998 to 2000, and Manager Financial Reporting from 1994 to 1998.

Throughout their career, Joe has developed a strong foundation in finance and accounting, demonstrating their expertise in financial management, expense control, business partnering, and reporting.

Joe Barsic has a CPA degree from CPA Australia. Joe has also completed a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Accounting from UNSW.
