Shakia Slade

Shakia Slade has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several years. Shakia started their career as an Office Manager at Handel Architects in 1999 and subsequently worked as a Production Administrator at Nomaco from 2002 to 2003. From 2004 to 2005, they served as a Project Administrator at Starr Electric Company, Inc., where they processed payroll and provided administrative support for a project at the NC State Wolf Village campus. In 2005, they joined Duke Clinical Research Institute as a Staff Specialist, responsible for assisting the Education & Training division of HR.

In 2006, Shakia Slade became an Inside Sales Representative at Varian Inc, where they processed customer orders, provided support to the sales department, and managed invoice orders. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a Promotions Manager at TriangleMommies.com, where they were responsible for promoting the site to the public and local business community. During the same period, they also served as a Document Control Administrator at Pharmadule Morimatsu AB, managing project administration and HR duties for a Merck Vaccine plant in Durham.

From 2009 to 2010, Shakia Slade took on the role of Network Administrator at The Mommies Network, and in 2012, they became a Freelance Writer, specializing as a Film Reviewer. In 2014, they joined Etix as a Support Specialist, handling customer resolutions and specializing in ADA requests and billing issues. Shakia later became a Project Support Manager at Etix in 2018, managing the Jira Project board and overseeing clients' onboarding and project-related tasks.
