Ton Brand

Ton Brand has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Ton is currently working at ETSI #TheStandardsPeople as the Chief Marketing Officer since July 2023. Previously, they served as the Director of the Standards Development Centre at ETSI from January 2020 to July 2023. Before joining ETSI, Ton worked as an Independent Consultant from July 2017 to December 2019, primarily as a Project Manager. Ton also had a role as the Interim CEO at GreenStar Statistics from December 2018 to June 2019. Prior to that, Ton held various positions at Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) as the Senior Director of Market and Industry Development from December 2012 to June 2017. Ton's career began in 1980 at Ordina, where they worked as a consultant until 1985. Ton then transitioned to other roles such as Head of Software Development at ADN in 1985, Business Development Consultant at INTIS in 1986, and Independent Telecommunications Consultant at Brand Consultants from 1987 to 2005. Ton's substantial expertise in program management, business development, and strategic leadership has made a significant impact in the mobile industry, particularly in the areas of connected living, Internet of Things (IoT), and telecommunications.

Ton Brand obtained a Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Twente from 1976 to 1980.
