Allison Taylor

Allison Taylor is a professional mariner, educator, and designer with a diverse background in seamanship and instruction. They hold a USCG Merchant Mariner Master’s License for 500T vessels and have gained extensive experience on various ships, including being the Chief Mate on SS Picton Castle and serving as Faculty Captain for Sea Education Association. Allison is also the owner of Shellback Limited, where they create and sell handmade crafts inspired by their sailing journeys. They earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art and Art History from Colgate University and have participated in multiple study abroad programs focused on oceanography and architecture.
