Han Wang is a seasoned applied scientist with extensive experience in advanced technology and machine learning. Currently serving as a Senior Applied Scientist II on the Search Ranking team at Etsy since May 2023, Han previously contributed to Amazon from February 2017 to April 2023 in roles that included developing entity-based personalization for Alexa and engaging in large-scale entity resolution. Han's career also includes internships at Memect Inc., IBM, and the Marine Biological Laboratory, where skills were honed in software engineering, machine learning, and ontology development. Han holds a Ph.D. in Multidisciplinary Science and a Master’s in Information Technology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, in addition to dual Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Beihang University.
