Mohit Jain

Mohit Jain is a Machine Learning Engineer currently employed at Etsy since February 2025, focusing on building AI/ML models for search ranking. Prior to this, Mohit worked at Pinterest from August 2022 to February 2025 in a similar role. Mohit gained valuable experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at UC San Diego from July 2020 to June 2022, collaborating with Professor Xiaolong Wang on computer vision and reinforcement learning methods for sim2real transfer and robotic manipulation tasks. Additionally, Mohit served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for courses in unsupervised learning and visual learning under Professors Sanjoy Dasgupta and Xiaolong Wang respectively. Earlier experience includes a Research Intern position at the University of Maryland, where Mohit worked with Professor Abhinav Shrivastava on unsupervised learning techniques for video action transformation, and an internship as a Software Engineer at GTS Corporate. Mohit holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from UC San Diego and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
