Jan Moormann is currently the Vice President of Smart Factory Germany and has previously served as the Director of Smart Factory at Etteplan from 2024 to 2025. Jan has extensive experience in the engineering field, having held roles such as Engineering Manager and Project Engineer at BASF Coatings GmbH from 2017 to 2019, and Senior Project Engineer at BASF Performance Products plc from 2014 to 2015. As a Project Manager at BASF plc from 2015 to 2017, Jan managed a significant CapEx project portfolio. Jan also led a branch office at plantIng GmbH from 2019 to 2024, overseeing a team of around 60 professionals in engineering services within the process industry. Jan holds a BEng in European Engineering from Coventry University and an MSc in Management for Business Excellence from the University of Warwick.
