Kimmo Varis is a seasoned software professional with extensive experience in software design and engineering. Kimmo began a career in 1995 as a trainee at Boss Consulting Oy and later at Jyväsdata Oy. After gaining foundational experience, Kimmo held various roles, including software designer at SWE Software Engineers Oy and senior software designer at Ixonos, where responsibilities also included serving as a Scrum Master. Additional roles in senior engineering positions were held at Bittium and Birdstep Technology. Kimmo currently serves as a senior software designer at Etteplan and leads development efforts for WinMerge.org. Kimmo holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences, completed in 2006.
