Birgit Filtenborg

Birgit Filtenborg has extensive experience in intellectual property management, notably serving as Deputy Director at the EUIPO from October 2014 to May 2017, focusing on customer experience for European trademarks and designs. Prior to this role, Birgit held various positions at OHIM from May 2001 to April 2003, including Manager - Head of Service and Head of Unit, where responsibilities included supervising lawyers and trademark examiners. Earlier in the career, Birgit worked as an Administrator/Case Handler, preparing opposition decisions, and as a Legal Advisor, providing support on Community Trade Mark issues. Birgit also gained valuable experience as an Examiner/Legal Advisor at Patent- og Varemærkestyrelsen from March 1992 to February 1998. Birgit holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from Aarhus Universitet, earned between 1986 and 1990.
