André Schaller

André Schaller has a diverse work experience in the field of information security and cyber security.

André is currently working as an Information Security Engineer at EUMETSAT since July 2021.

Prior to that, they were self-employed as a Cyber Security Consultant, specializing in freelance cyber security and penetration testing, starting from January 2018.

From December 2018 to June 2021, André worked as a Security Engineering Consultant at GMV Insyen AG, where they were responsible for security-related anomaly management at EUMETSAT Headquarters.

From June 2012 to December 2017, they worked as a Scientific Assistant at Technische Universität Darmstadt, focusing on hardware-based security and privacy in commercial off-the-shelf devices.

Moreover, André founded and served as the CEO of ShopDefenders from September 2012 to October 2013.

André also gained experience as a Hilfswissenschaftler at the Center for Advanced Security Research Darmstadt (CASED) from March 2011 to September 2011, and as a Werkstudent at DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale from October 2006 to June 2009.
