Fausto Roveda

Ground Segment Manager For Geostationary Programmes at EUMETSAT

Fausto Roveda has extensive work experience in various roles within the aerospace and technology sectors. Fausto worked at EUMETSAT from 1999 to 2021, starting as a Meteorological Product Software Engineer and later becoming the Ground Segment Manager for Geostationary Programmes. In these positions, they were responsible for managing the development and procurement of the Meteosat Third Generation Ground Segment, leading technology evolution studies, and implementing architecture and pre-development activities for future geostationary observation systems. Fausto also worked at Logica as a Delivery Manager from 2009 to 2011 and at MakaluMedia GmbH as a Director from 2003 to 2009. Fausto began their career at Pride as a Software Engineer from 1996 to 1997 and then moved on to the European Commission, Joint Research Centre as an Auxiliary Agent at the Space Applications Institute from 1997 to 1999. Fausto's diverse work experience and expertise in the aerospace industry make him a valuable asset in their field.

Fausto Roveda completed their education in a chronological order. From 1983 to 1988, they attended the Istituto Tecnico Industriale Statale (ITIS) Andrea Bernocchi, where they obtained a degree in Perito Elettronico. Fausto'sfield of study during these years focused on Electronics, Microelectronics, and Software Engineering. Later, from 1989 to 1995, Fausto pursued a Laurea (Bachelor's degree) in Ingegneria Informatica (Software Engineering) at the Politecnico di Milano.
