Paul K.

Paul K. has a diverse work experience in the field of IT and security. Paul started their career in 2009 as a working student at Mücke, Sturm & Company, where they worked until 2011. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a research assistant at the Center for Advanced Security Research Darmstadt (CASED). In 2012, they joined usd AG as a working student.

In 2013, Paul K. joined CGI as a Security Specialist and worked there until 2016. In the same year, they also had a brief stint at Deutsche Bank as an Information Security Specialist.

Since 2016, Paul K. has been working at EUMETSAT. Paul started as a Ground Systems Security Engineer, responsible for implementing the corporate ISMS Roadmap and leading the Privileged Access Management initiative. In 2020, they were promoted to the role of IT & Ground Systems Security Manager, where they are responsible for the corporate ISMS implementation, leading a team of engineers, and driving the corporate-wide IAM Programme.

Paul K. has a strong educational background in IT and computer science. Paul completed a bachelor's degree in Network Computing at TU Bergakademie Freiberg from 2005 to 2009. After their bachelor's, Paul pursued further education and obtained multiple master's degrees. From 2009 to 2012, they studied Computer Science at Technische Universität Darmstadt. During the same period, they also pursued a master's degree in Information Technology at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, completing it in 2011. Afterwards, Paul focused on IT-Security, earning a master's degree from Technische Universität Darmstadt from 2010 to 2013.

In addition to their educational achievements, Paul has obtained certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. Paul became a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) in February 2017, with the certification awarded by (ISC)². Paul also obtained the ISO 27001 Foundation certification in the same month, which was awarded by TÜV Süd.
