Chris Powers

Chris Powers has extensive work experience in various roles. Chris started their career at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge as a Graduate Office Assistant before moving on to work as a Library Assistant at Trinity College. Chris then worked as a Development Office Assistant at Sidney Sussex College and as a Research Assistant and CAMbassador at the University of Cambridge.

Chris also worked as an Academic Research Assistant at the University of Cambridge, assisting with research projects in the Department of POLIS. Additionally, they worked as an Exam Invigilator at Chesterton Community College and as a Biographical Data Support Assistant at King's College, Cambridge.

Chris gained experience in communications and web management roles as a Communications Coordinator at Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust and as a Web Manager at JHD Counselling. Chris then took on the role of Development Officer at St Edmund's College, Cambridge.

Most recently, Chris served as the Director of Communications at EURACTIV, where they played a vital role in increasing website traffic and implementing a referral strategy.

Throughout their career, Chris has demonstrated strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for research and community engagement.

Chris Powers began their education at Montgomery High School, where they obtained their GCSEs in various subjects, including English, Maths, and French. Chris then attended Blackpool Sixth Form College from 2009 to 2012, where they pursued A-Levels in History, Classics, and Economics.

In 2012, Chris enrolled in the University of Cambridge, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History, completing their studies in 2015. Following their undergraduate studies, Chris furthered their education at the College of Europe in Natolin from 2015 to 2016. There, they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in European Interdisciplinary Studies.

In terms of additional certifications, Chris obtained the "Jodi Glickman on Pitching Yourself" certification from LinkedIn in June 2020. Chris also completed the "Leading in Crisis" certification from LinkedIn in the same month and year.
