Carlos Rizzo is a PhD in Robotics with over fifteen years of experience in mobile robotics, specializing in localization, autonomous navigation, fleet coordination, and scene understanding. Currently serving as the Head of Mobile Robotics at Eurecat’s Robotics and Automation Unit, Carlos leads applied research focused on Smart Logistics and Agricultural Robotics. Previously, they held positions as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Universidad de Zaragoza and as a Robotics Research Engineer at Eurecat. Carlos has contributed to various R&D projects and coordinates the euRobotics Topic Group on Autonomous Navigation, enhancing robotic autonomy in dynamic environments. Their education includes a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering and a Master's degree in Systems Engineering from Universidad Simon Bolivar, along with a PhD from Universidad de Zaragoza.
